100% Silk Peau fabric (Peau de Soie), in Light Ivory, one of the more beautiful qualities we have come across.
A mill that is no longer around, this is dead stock from Italy.
Medium hefty handed (40 mm), 54″ wide. It is decadent, soft hand it is like a satin with no backing. It still holds some stiffness, with a slight, elegant lustrous finish.
When we are able to source it, White and Ivory Peau de soie are the most sought after fabrics for bridal wear. This fabric is rare, excellent, brilliant.
*We highly recommend that any garment made from this fabric should be lined in our Cotton/Polyester batiste blend.
