100% Virgin Wool Double Crepe Fabric, Black

100% Double Wool Crepe, Black; a pebbled texture with a heavy yet airy hand, drape – this is the perfect weight – slight bias stretch.

Made in Italy, medium/heavy suiting or jacket weight (485 gsm), 58″ wide. It is a summer weight.

Wool crepe is one of the most elegant, distinguished fabrics because even though a solid – the textured hand allows for a tailored look, that is extra and a class above. Details, details, details.

Black goes with everything, and it will last forever.

There are a lot of wonderful uses for the double wool crepe fabric – a few here that we think would work charmingly:

WORKER TROUSERS from the Modern Sewing Co. Modern Sewing Co also has the Darcy Coat, which could be used in coordination with the trousers.

The Heather Blazer from the Friday Pattern Co. – If you make the suit it will be fancier and formal, but just the jacket would be a stylish garment for a cocktail or dinner date. Line it in Bemberg or our Cotton/Poly Batiste.

The Jasika Blazer from Closet Core Patterns is one we love – a classic.

Form fitting, bodice flair skirts would be lovely – for example, the Burda Bur683.
