Cotton Twill Fabric with Stretch, Diagonal Streaked Tie-Die Pattern
Cotton Twill fabric with 2-Way Stretch, a tie dye pattern print in Deep Mossy Green and White, the pattern on a diagonal streak.
The print is abstract, yet crisp. A high quality, standard weight cotton twill (on the heavier side of cottons) with a great stretch.
Medium/heavy, treat it as a denim or any heavier cotton. Dead stock fabric from NYC cutting room.
97% Cotton/3% Lycra – the stretch is roughly 10%, 48″ wide.
The diagonal stripe is kind of a funky look that we love. Sort of see it as 1990’s/early 2000’s throw back retro – but it is noted that it can be difficult to sew with diagonal stripes.
These pattern suggestions can provide some guidance:
Tanya Taidi has 2 epic shirt patterns, the Liv and the Lee – amazing collars, side front button situation that we love and great cuffs.
The Barcelona Dress from Maven Patterns – with the chevroned skirt.
Style Arc has the INDIGO MAXI SKIRT – it seems the stripes could still run diagonally along the seams. Thats our preference at least!
Some variation of the Magic Pants from Ann Tilley handmade patterns would be epic.
The Upton Dress dress from the Cashmerette Pattern Co.
Also with all the stripes, shapes and directions, we love FRENCH SMOCK form Modern Sewing Co. for this fabric. Its a “blouse”, the this denim would be more for a winter fit. That said it would be really cool (and probably advanced sewing).
