Floral Double Weight Knit Fabric

Heavy Knit fabric with a jaw dropping floral pattern – Bright Red base with a colorful array of Light Blues, Spruce Green, Hollandaise Yellow, Pinks and Aqua.

Hearty knit (270 gsm), double weight; sold to us as “swim wear knit”, and some would argue it is a lighter scuba – with no spacer or padding. The piece however has more bounce and pull back than a scuba with a lovely firmness.

Dead Stock we procured from a mill in Spain, 60″ wide. Polyester, 4-way stretch with a standard stretch.

Pattern Suggestions: You could go “constructed” or not with this fabric. An easy look would be the Simplicity S9328, with or without sleeves. Vogue V1860, also a similar look with a casual or formal vibe. Also see S9644 from Simplicity, a flare skirt as a base with variations.

All of the variations of the Grafton Dress from Cashmerette Patterns would be fitting for this weight and composition. Again, formal or casual could be the read.

Keep in mind, this could make nice swim wear and athletic wear. Look to the Karlie Swimsuit from Madalynne.
