Suiting Weight Jacquard, a somewhat retro and luscious large floral in Candy Red and Lilac, pops of Blush Pink on a neutral light Pewter base.
Suiting weight (standard jacquard weight) – think of the hand of this fabric as a taffeta that is less stiff and crisp; a tad more dense.
We bought this fabric on 7th Avenue from one of the biggest designers in the world. It was made in France, by what most people consider to be one the best fabric mills in the world.
We have not had a chance to buy their dead stock mill fabrics yet, so when we get it from designers we get quite excited.
Price is per Yard.

Sewing Pattern Suggestions:
There is no doubt that this fabric is a formal one – but there are a lot of uses.
Vogue V1983 is quite a formal gown – the pleat and fit would be perfect for the weight of this fabric.
Formal wear skirts we always love the Vogue 9712 – it just has that look, and especially with this fabric it would be beautiful (add a silk 4 ply crepe blouse with a coordinating color).
Getting even fancier, the Marfy no. 3614 with the ovular opening in the back – a jacket and skirt.
Finally, one of our favorites: the Upton Dress from Cashmerette Patterns – easy, comfy, does the fabric justice.
