Metallic Light Weight Stretch Woven, “Sage” Green

Technically speaking, this is a lame – but more innovative than the classical definition. Light weight with drape. It is the weight of a non-sheer chiffon, or voile – but enough opacity for a shirt/blouse, skirt or gown – a bit of temperament.

Sage green but with some blue undertones coloration – probably best for us to recommend getting a sample. It is hard to photograph.

Colorfully iridescent and ever changing in the light. A liquidity in both color and movement. Semi Opaque.

Generous 2-way stretch, about 60% stretch that goes on the bias. A synthetic blend, some lurex, canvas and acetate. Dead stock from a small production mill in France.

Pattern Suggestions, we thought long and hard:

A blouse see New Look 7607 – or – Burda Bur6026 with that front bow. Keep in mind, these will read more formal. The fabric itself is just that vibe.

Quite formal and elegant is the Marfy, no 3228 – a long evening gown with draped bodice. Cannot vouch for the embroidery finish, but the dress itself is a perfect piece of inspiration. Also see no. 6529.
