Recycled Cotton Knit Fabric, Small Stripe
Recycled Cotton Knit fabric; a small blue and white stripe with a quite subtle “confectionary” array of dots. The confection doesn’t take away from the simplicity of the knit, but it does enhance the look.
We cannot write enough about how impressive the quality of this fabric is – Firm and soft, not a typical single weight knit but just a tad more heft, 190 gsm, 58″ wide. Lovely pull back, 4 way stretch.
49% Recycled Cotton/45% Polyester/6% Nylon – We sourced this from a mill in the US, dead stock. It has quite an intriguing aesthetic.
Pattern Suggestions: As stated, the quality is unmatched so you should make something easy that you can wear with most garments. It will have longevity. We like shirts, wrap dresses, tunic or caftans – either way simplicity goes a long way.
We always love the idea of the free Core shirt pattern from Closet Core Patterns. Also see the Concord T Shirt from Cashmerette Patterns.
The button front cardigan from Simplicity S9272 is great, also the S9018 – a whole ensemble.
Simple Knit dress from Simplicity, S8595 – any sleeve length you need!
Finally, the simple Chalk and Notch Patterns: Max and Waterfall. Fun, lasting and simple!
