Silk and Wool Suiting, Satin Finish, Sugar White
Silk and Wool Suiting in Sugar White, the most elegant piece of goods.
Suiting weight, tad heavier than a gaberdine; jacket, trouser, bottom weight – dress or skirt, gown.
We are especially impressed with the satin finish that visually resembles a heavy satin organza (not in weight).
We recommend a sample of this piece, as well as to line in a cotton/poly batiste for stability. The fabric is not too heavy and really breathable, so we would venture to say that you could wear it in the hot months of the year.
Made in Italy, 58″ wide. Dead stock Fabric from an NYC cutting room.
This is one of those fabrics that makes you love the fabric business.
Butterick B6901 – the Trouser, vest, top – just do it all! Option A or B
A coat would be memorable. We would suggest the Know Me Mimi G Coat PDME2001 (Option A, but you could also make trousers in Option B). Also Burda BUR6736, would make a wonderfully wearable pair of jackets/coats.
For pants, a suit or trousers we love Vogue 1960 (Options A and C – the trousers oh my!) or the wide legged pant, Vogue, V1958 Option B.
Of course this being one of the many shades of White, anything couture bridal is fair game.
Price is per Yard.
