Silk Crepe de Chine fabric with stretch, a digital rowed print in Browns, Purple and Black/faint background tones of Yellow and Light Blue. The pattern runs with the length and could be sewn either way.
97% Silk/ 3% Lycra – Standard crepe de chine weight (15 mm) with a nice stretch, superb quality. Made in Japan, 45 inches wide.
Silk Crepe de Chine is your standard silk crepe. Blouse weight, it can also be used as a lining. A staple for couture sewing its always good to have it around the sewing room.
We sourced this silk from a designer’s dead stock collection in NYC, not in the garment district but at her boutique on the East side – she focuses on quality of textiles as well as designs that are born from her imagination. It’s an unusual stripe and not for an inexperienced sewer. That said, if you can make this pattern work it could be really stylish.
