100% Silk Faille fabric in Candy Apple Red. It has a heavy hand with a unique drape that allows it to be more a suiting weight fabric than a stiffer composition that is usually custom of faille.
Matte with a slightly ribbed hand, 40 mm (4.38 KG per Square meter), 54″ wide. Made in Italy, we got it in NYC from a designer – the mill that made it is one of the finest silk mills in the world.
The ribbed texture in silk faille is a weaving process that uses variations of thicker and thinner yarn. This allows for a textured hand that is matte.

Typically, silk faille is called for in formal wear. The same can be said about this particular piece, but there is more pliability. It therefore lends itself to some more variety – we like a jacket, a mens jacket in Simplicity S3083 a front zipper loose fitting jacket.
Vogue 2036, a semi-formal suit, pant and vest combo – it would match the lovely hand of this fabric perfectly.
