100% Silk Chiffon fabric in Mauve – light weight and sheer, with a delicate drape soft handed. The lends itself to a wonderful blouse, dress, top, or skirt – it could also be used as comfortable, breathable lining.

Use it as you would a habotai, georgette, lawn, crepe de chine, voile or charmeuse, 45″ wide.

Sewing Pattern Suggestions:

Patterns for this fabric vary – thin top, dress, skirt.

One pattern we came across that we love is the Vogue V1762, a line wrap dress with contrast binding waistband and great sleeves.

Also a few options in the Vogue V1746 – a kimono with loose fitting pants.

We would love to see a light weight version of the The Ilford Jacket, from the Friday Pattern Co.

Also of note, the Enmore halter dress + top from Liesl and Co. is cool, easy and expressive of any occasion formal or casual. We assume you would line this – look into our cotton/poly batiste.

Shipping & returns

All sales are final unless the item is deemed defective. If items are defective, they must be sent back within 14 days of shipping date. We do not accept returns on cuts goods unless there are quality issues.

International orders

We ship United States Postal Service or UPS, promptly. Customs and import duties are not always included in the overall shipping prices. Orders of $350 are free.

About dead stock

Dead Stock Fabric: Unique, out-of-circulation fabrics bought directly from fashion designers and textile mills. Dead Stock fabric is sustainable because it is excess supply that is in existence (not manufactured). In the fashion industry, deadstock refers to fabrics that are either surplus or left over from production. We source our dead stock fabrics from high end fashion designers and textile mills from all over the world. In sourcing deadstock fabric, we are diverting waste away from landfills.

Any of our fabrics and ribbons can be viewed at our fabric store in New Orleans. Not all products are stored on site, so we recommend getting in touch at least 24 hours before your visit to allow us time to transfer the stock from our warehouse.
