Organza Brocade fabric, an electric and sharp geometric pattern with many shapes and sizes.
Jade Green on a Deep Navy Blue diamond textured pattern.
Light weight, stiff hand, it can drape more so than an average organza, made of a high quality Polyester/Metal/Lurex blend, 50″ wide.
The panel measures 1 Yard – the pattern itself is 29 inches, the remaining length is solid (textured) organza.
It can be hard to pinpoint exactly what to use a lovely Organza Brocade for. You can narrow it down to formal wear of course – and we suggest having the mentality that one should treat organza jacquard like a dress, bottom or taffeta weight fabric (even though it is sheer). First of all, it can be lined and that will provide body. Secondly, its has the stiffness to hold flairs and pleats.
Thus, we suggest a few patterns that are outside the box.
A formal jacket would be the Burda Style Pattern 6041 Misses – Option B line. Simple enough to let the fabric do the talking/make the statement. In the same vein is the Vogue V1865.
The Lucy Dress from By Hand London has such a versatility to it in terms of what fabrics can be used. We love the look.
Kathryn Brenne has a lovely pattern Vogue 1746, a kimono jacket, loose fitting with a really cool pleated pair of pants. Some hacking may be involved because of the lifted pattern.
Vogue V9075 – gathered formal”ish” dress – Option A
