Satin Fabric with stretch in Chocolate Brown, made of a high grade Polyester/Lycra blend. Soft, buttery hand with a generous stretch that goes with the length of the fabric. No backing, no stiff duchesse hand, it has a lot of drape but can hold its own body wise.

Dead stock from a big time NYC designer, a formal gown was in mind.

Pattern Suggestions: The luster of this piece reads formal, but it definitely does not have to be a formal garment.

Vogue PDV2007, Option D is a full skirt that reads a tad more formal, but could be on the fence. We love the pleats and the fullness that works with this fabric. Also (a tad more formal) see B6978, from Butterick. A cape that would work well with the lustrous finish.

Loving also the Lara Skirt from Just Patterns, full but can read formal or casual – with a lovely Sharpe blouse, yea.

All sales are final unless the item is deemed defective. If items are defective, they must be sent back within 14 days of shipping date. We do not accept returns on cuts goods unless there are quality issues.

We ship United States Postal Service or UPS, promptly. Customs and import duties are not always included in the overall shipping prices. Orders of $350 are free.

Dead Stock Fabric: Unique, out-of-circulation fabrics bought directly from fashion designers and textile mills. Dead Stock fabric is sustainable because it is excess supply that is in existence (not manufactured). In the fashion industry, deadstock refers to fabrics that are either surplus or left over from production. We source our dead stock fabrics from high end fashion designers and textile mills from all over the world. In sourcing deadstock fabric, we are diverting waste away from landfills.

Any of our fabrics and ribbons can be viewed at our fabric store in New Orleans. Not all products are stored on site, so we recommend getting in touch at least 24 hours before your visit to allow us time to transfer the stock from our warehouse.
