Medium suiting weight, it can drape a lot – the weight is just right to allow for a number of uses.
Mostly Polyester/ touch of: Viscose, Polyamide, Cotton – We had this fabric made for us in France, it’s one of our most excitable moments – 52″ wide, 229 gsm.
With pattern suggestions – you can either go wild or make a statement with something simple. We love the Folklore Sewing Pattern 503 Poiret Cocoon Coat. This fabric has enough drape and the right weight to see it through.
Skirt, pants and jackets – the large skirt, Vogue V1723 or the dress with flared skirt, Vogue V1782 or the lovely suit Vogue V1960 (we suggest you line this fabric and it will work perfectly – Cotton/Poly batiste).
S9712 from Simplicity is a pleated skirt. Oh wow would this one be epic. Line again with Cotton/Poly batiste.
Tuxedo style dress – oh yes – Know Me Mimi G, PDME2006 – again, just right there with weight to get all of this going (its not quite the type of fabric specified in the pattern suggestions, but we think it works. At the very least, leads to some inspiration). Pattern is represented by Nefertiti Griggs.
