Suiting/Bottom weight Jacquard fabric, a classic stripe; matte White with a lifted floral and a Black ribbed, somewhat lustrous stripe.
Made in Italy, 52″ wide. 85% Cotton/15% Acetate – Deadstock from an NYC designer.
This piece of fabric is smart, elegant and has subtle complexities. That said, its not an intimidating piece to work with. The mainly cotton can lend itself to an easy garment sew, with a spectrum of uses – it has denim weight vibes so the heft is there.
For mere inspiration, look at Vogue, V9197 – a Jewel neck gathered skirt dress.
We would also get into the Tillery Skirt from Blank Slate Patterns. Also the Brooks Jeans from Helen’s Closet would be a nice tailored pant.
The Shoalhaven Shacket from Muna and Broad would be our pick for a jacket – line it in Bemberg or Cotton/poly batiste.
For a dress we note New Look N6500, a shift dress that has sleeve and sleeveless options.
Price is per Yard.
