Jacquard fabric with a lifted, geometric zig zag stripe in Royal Blue on Black (a large rick rack) that goes across the width of the fabric.
High-end Polyester, its a suiting weight. Pretty much standard weight for a jacquard. We always say these jacquard fabrics are less crisp taffetas, a tad more heft and drape.
We sourced this from a high end designer in NYC – it is their sample yardage that is frankly cream of the crop.
Sewing Pattern Suggestions:
The Vogue V1813 is a big skirt that has the perfect pleat for the weight of this fabric. Keeping in the same vein of formal wear try Vogue V1655. The back pleating is a nice elegant touch.
Butterick has a great double breasted jacket – PDB6862. We like it with the weight of this fabric as well.
We also mention the Jasika Blazer often, Closet Core Patterns.
