Cotton Blend, a Coral solid with an ever slight de-lustered sateen sheen. One of the more amazing fabrics we have come across.
The feel of a poplin, that rough smoothness. Medium but juicy hand, lovely drape and a luxurious 2-way stretch.
68% Cotton/28% Polyester/4% Lycra – the stretch is a generous 1 1/2 inches along the width (35%), 54″ wide. Breathable composition that will not wrinkle as much.
Dead Stock from a designer in NYC, it was made for their line in an Italian mill.
Pattern Suggestions:
This fabric has range – we think a lovely skirt, dress, light weight jacket or jumpsuit – you could make a heavier shirt as well.
For starters, the EMERSON PANT / SHORT from True Bias would be lovely. We like the stretch for the waste.
One of our all time favs – SUNDRESS, PATTERN №1032 from Grasser Patterns
The Melrose Boiler Suit from Style Arc is a great fit. We also like the EUCALYPTUS JUMPSUIT from Deer and Doe
S9286 from Simplicity is a flared skirt with a bodice, somewhat vintage looking and exceptionally timeless.
For a shirt, Butterick B6896 could lend some inspiration.
