Silk Striped Ribbon with Hammered Texture, 9 inches wide

Vintage Silk Trim, we call it a ribbon, but it was actually intended as a scarfing. A classic stripe, in Cherry Luscious Red, Black and a Brownish Copper. Light and supple, with an intricate hammered texture – the quality and complexity in this weaving is from another time. Made ca. 1950’s the mill is still in operation today (but not making this anymore!)

Made in France, 9 inches wide.
