We are especially excited about these pieces, they are soft and supple with body, a fleece-like back side that feels great against the body.
A fair amount heavier than your standard single weight knit (195 gsm, 5.8 ounces), 59″ wide.
Patterns we get athletic wear and winter shirt/sweater vibes here. The first that came to mind was the Mimi G, Simplicity S8702 – basically a very cool track suit. A hoodie/sweatshirt would also be great – try to the PDME2023 (Know ME, Norris Dánta Ford).
For more formal/”Street clothes” – we would love to see Simplicity S8742, a large “effortless” Cardigan.
A great fit would be the Simplicity S9788 with a midi and long skirt option and ALSO the Simplicity PDS9778 Mimi G wrap Dress.
Just a note: This fabric is Made of consumer recycled polyester, (RPET) or Recycled Polyethylene Terephthalate, which is a fancy term for post consumer plastics. These plastics are recycled but full disclosure, there is some question into their sustainable future as the product of this thread is not recyclable. Nevertheless, it is keeping bottles out of a landfill and it will certainly last ages.
