Stretch Brocade fabric, an explosive Electric Yellow with an equally popping cloque Lustrous, Lurex Silver floral/leafy pattern.
59% Polyester/29% Polyamide/14% Lurex
Versatile suiting weight (210 GSM), that would work for most garments. Drape, wonderful 2-Way stretch. Heavier side, coating/jacket weight, but more options.
Made in France, dead stock, 54″ wide.
These stretch brocades are wonderful because they are formal, but the stretch and weight allows one to sew a garment that is easier and more comfortable without sacrificing the style. They work both ways, they jazz up a casual outfit as well as provide more versatility to formal wear.
Some pattern suggestions:
V1983 from Vogue, an elegant fit and flare would be a lovely use of this exquisite fabric. This is pretty much full on gown.
While on the subject, the V1949 is quite a show. Perfect for the weight of a brocade.
Pants are also a great option – with the stretch, a tight fit is imagined. The Saffron Pants from Deer and Doe, the reference we like to give.
Lots of jackets, but what about this lined car coat from Julian Creates – ME2059
