Viscose Marocain Crepe, Royal Purple. Dual sides, one matte, one a satin finish.
The perfect ample composition, medium weight and exquisite, fluid drape, a natural bias give. All of those elements work together to make the perfect dress weight fabric.
Characteristic pebbled texture.
Made in France, 54″ wide. Dead Stock from a mill, Viscose/Acetate blend – this fabric is vintage from the 1980’s.
We love this for its fluidity and weight ratio, but also – you can wear the heck out of this fabric, it will last forever.
4 ply crepe weight that would be lovely cut on the bias because it has some natural give – we think best for a dress, but not limited to this. A line skirt, blouse, tunic, maxi dress, camisole.
Some of the patterns we suggest are:

Wooster Bias Top – the Pattern Line
Mercer Bias Skirt – the Pattern Line

*A true Royal Purple, which is for some reason the hardest color for us to shoot accurately. We cannot seem to capture the total essence of this lovely piece (inner perfectionist minds), so we encourage you to get a sample.
