100% Silk fabric in Navy Blue with a French Blue, Silver and Ivory paisley printed pattern. 30 mm weight, drape. The beauty of this fabric lies in the square geometric hammered (lifted) texture – technically this is a blouse weight jacquard.
Use as you would a heavier crepe, Silk Suiting, Charmeuse or any light, to light/medium woven, such as broadcloth/shirting.
We sourced this from a mill in France that specializes in jacquards – this is a melding of expertise, an epic quality of silk with wonderful complexities in texture as well as precision. Special and quite exquisite.
Price is per Yard.
Sewing Pattern Suggestions:
This fabric reads formal no matter how you slice it.
We love a light weight dress and blouse – to meet this need we recommend the structured wrap dress from Deer and Doe Patterns, the Circee Dress.
The Macy Blouse from Viki Sews is a striking formal look to wear with the pattern on this fabric. Not too complex, “just let the fabric do the talking”. Also see their crowd favorite the Cynthia Blouse.
The Sicily Slip Dress from Sewing Patterns by Masin would also be a simple, yet dynamic approach.
Vogue V1801 also gives off the same vibes. We love the bodice pleats that would play well with the lifted pattern in the fabric itself.
