Hand wise, it is sort of hard to pin down – the stiffness and viscosity of a more dense taffeta, slightly less stiff and more workable due to the generous 2-way stretch.
Pattern Suggestions could be all over the place.
We love a blazer or jacket – the McCalls M8210 could lend some inspiration, a button up “shacket” with a drop shoulder and long sleeve. The moderate stretch would also lend some inspiration to a jacket like Butterick PDB6948 – unlined (although you could line it we think) – Option C.
The Safran Pants from Deer and Doe Patterns would be nice – this fabric would accentuate the tight fit and the stretch.
We have come across the Tyyni Pants from Named Fabrics – these are perfect for most of our stretch suiting weight woven and jacquard fabrics. We pair with it their Aava Tailored Blazer.
