Cotton Fringe Tweed fabric, a delicately colorful array of Light Purples, Blue, off-White, Greens and Yellow with slight iridescent fringed accent.
Jacket/Coat weight, or classic jacket/coat weight we should say, with a bit of an open weave.
The content however is primarily Cotton (with a touch of Lurex and a touch of Viscose)
An appropriate weight for a semi cooler spring evening but also a cold winter day. A simple garment could suffice, but it would stand up to the strictest standards of a classic couture jacket.
Lovely drape and a hand that is soft and scrumptious.
Made in England from one of the finer mills, but procured in NYC from a designer’s cutting room – Dead Stock. The quality is exquisite, 54″ wide.
In short, this is the type of fabric that reminds us of the lovely Susan Khalje, and her lessons/pattern collection would be more than appropriate.
To tailor your own jacket, Vogue V1926 would be perfect or the McCalls PDM8370. Also, a classic French Jacket in the Marfy Sewing Pattern 1756.
