Silk/Cotton Dress weight fabric, off-White with an intricate, stylish floral pattern of Corals, Olive Green, lighter Green, Orange, Blush Pinks, Blue and light Red. Dead stock from an NYC designer.
Soft, special hand (80% cotton/20% Silk) – we call it a dress weight, but it greatly resembles a light weight challis. Twill weave, semi-opaque, breathable blend that could keep you warm in the fall and winter.
Looks wise, we don’t see why it can’t be worn all year round, it falls short of being cutesy and can liven up neutral outfits. Some pattern suggestions:
What about the powerful yet dainty EUCALYPTUS JUMPSUIT form Deer and Doe Patterns! In addition to the CALVIN WRAP DRESS from True Bias, we love that.
Butterick B6927 – a pullover dress would work beautifully. New Look N6758 is a kind of funky, easy fitting pant (Option B).
Blue Dot Sews Andrea Wrap Dress, easy and stylish. Chalk and Notch with their Fringe woven dress and blouse (the print would work beautifully with this).
Finally, we would like to see a basic button down with the pattern – our go to right now is the Unisex shirt from Modern Sewing Co. – we love it because it allows variables for fabric used – OR – The Burda blouse with a wide tie collar (BUR6026).
We recommend if this is to be lined, do it with our cotton/polyester batiste lining.
