Jacquard fabric with a lifted Polka Dot pattern in White against a Lemon Yellow and White ribbed background. A lovely and charming look – classic and simple, but with complexity in the textures.
60% Cotton/40% Polyester – Made in France, 52″ wide, 295 gsm. Sort of in-between a suiting and jacket weight – we use the denim rule for this one. If the pattern would work for a denim or heavy twill, it would work for this.
Pattern suggestions – this is a fun one as stripes and dots lead to possibilities. This fabric is not relegated to these choices, its just a few we came across.
Modern Sewing Company has a classic Potter’s Jacket. Also look at the The DARCY COAT, “an elegant and comfortable coat that is designed for throwing over any outfit”. What a hit.
Loose fitting and unlined, the Vogue V1960 suit would be pretty awesome.
A simple skirt – McCalls M8390 would guarantee 10-15 compliments. Line it maybe with Cotton/Poly batiste.
Overalls would be pretty great too, try McCalls M8345
