Jacquard Fabric, with an interesting Floral Geometric pattern with varying textures and subtle complexities. Custard Yellow, Beige, Ivory finished with Silver iridescent accents – some lovely complexities to this fabric.
Medium, a suiting weight, fair amount of liquidity and drape, 2-Way Stretch that goes with the length of the fabric/on the bias – call it a stretch taffeta if you need to compare.
The fabric is a Synthetic Blend with Lurex and Lycra, 58″ wide. We got it on 7th Avenue from one of the biggest and finest fashion designers in the world. Quite couture.
Price is per Yard.

Pattern Suggestions:
The stretch in this fabric is quite flattering – for that we offer the Tyyni Cigarette Pant from Named Patterns.
You can take that one step further and sew up their AAVA Tailored Blazer.
As a fabric store who tries to listen to its customers – the impression we get from some beginner sewers is that the jacquard can be “intimidating” at times to work with. These stretch jacquards are the exact opposite. A little fabric made into a simple design can go a long way. The amount of stretch is forgiving. The lifted design is palatial. A winning combo.
Case + point – a pencil skirt like McCalls PDM8222 would be an easy sew – throw on a blouse and you have a formal-enough look.
Other Patterns Suggestions: How about some skinny pants, SAFRAN PANTS from Deer and Doe Patterns. Butterick, Katherine Tilton’s slim fitting jeans – B6565.
The fabric has the weight to hold a pleat or flare. For example Vogue V1737, a fit and flare dress would be so magical. One could hack it to be even tighter of a fit if desired. Also the N6094 from New Look has a flared skirt, with a few other options.
